Since 2007 National Testing Center has been a member of the International Association for Educational Assessment ( IAEA). IAEA was established in 1975 in New Jersey, US.

The objectives of the organization are:

1) 1to improve communication among organizations involved in educational assessment by sharing professional expertise through conferences and publications, and by providing a framework within which cooperative research, training, and projects involving educational assessment can be undertaken.

2) to make expertise in assessment techniques more readily available for the solution of educational problems.

3) to cooperate with other agencies having complementary interests.

4) to engage in other activities for the improvement of assessment techniques and their appropriate use by educational agencies around the world.

The Association organizes annual conferences in various countries. Themes of the  conferences in recent years are as follows:

  • 38th International Conference of IAEA - 2012, Astana, Kazakhstan.  "Designing the assessment of learning outcomes to make positive impact on individuals and institutions. NTC presented 6 papers.

  • 39th International Conference of IAEA - 2013 of Tel Aviv (State of Israel).Theme: "Assessment in Education: Technology Assessment in Education" NTC presented 3 papers.

  • 40th International Conference IAEA - 2014, Republic of Singapore. Theme: "Assessing innovation of the 21st century" NTC presented 1 paper.

  • 41st International Conference IAEA-2015, University of Kansas, Lawrence KS, United States of America. Theme "The Three Most Important Considerations in Testing: Validity, Validity, Validity".

  • 42st International Conference IAEA-2016, Cape Town, South Africa. Theme "Assessing the Achievement of Curriculum Standards; An Ongoing Dialogue".

Since 2013 NTC has been a member of Eurasian Association on Educational Assessment (EAOKO).

EAOKO as a form of institutional association of experts and organizations in the sphere of education quality assessment and CIS countries, was established in June 2012 aimed to consolidate, expand and promote the expertise of the CIS countries in the field of assessing the quality of education, as well as the dissemination of the experience in education quality assessment throughout Eurasia.

I Annual EAOKO international conference was held in 2012 in Moscow, Russian Federation. Theme: "Integration, partnership, innovation in the field of assessing the quality of education"

II International Conference EAOKO was held in Minsk, Belarus in 2013. Theme: "Monitoring of school education - Prospects intercountry cooperation".

III EAOKO International Conference was held in Astana, Kazakhstan in 2014. Theme: "Features and directions of development of national systems of education quality assessment".

IV EAOKO International Conference was held in 2015, Kazan, (Republic of Tatarstan). Theme: " Independent evaluation of the quality of education: current challenges and best practices"

V EAOKO International Conference was held in 2016, Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyz Republic. Theme: "Education quality management through assessment"

International cooperation is implemented in the same way in the framework of bilateral agreements and memorandums.

In 2007, the agreement on cooperation in the field of assessing the quality of education was signed between the NTC and the State Commission for Student Admission of Azerbaijan Republic, the National Accreditation Agency in the field of Education and the NTC.

On November 15, 2013 a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the National Testing Center and the Center for TOMER (Republic of Turkey, Ankara, Gazi University, and Center for teaching, research and practice of the Turkish language).

Under the memorandum two workshops for KAZTEST developers and system experts were held.

In 2014, Memorandum of Cooperation between the National Research University "Higher School of Economics" and NTC was signed. Under the Memorandum, workshops on interpretation and presentation of results of evaluation of educational achievements for diverse user groups as well as the theory and practice of test item development in psychology and education were held for NTC specialists.

NTC also establish fruitful cooperation with such renowned centers as the Institute for Education Measurement (CITO, the Netherlands and the Educational Testing Service (ETS, USA).

In the framework of the cooperation, experts of Cito International company (the Netherlands) held workshops for NTC staff on the development and preparation of test items for the external evaluation of educational achievements.
